Most trade software sold into New Zealand was built for somewhere else, and you find out on your first invoice. The GST comes out at the wrong rate, the field asking for your tax number calls it an ABN, and the price is quoted in a currency you then have to convert before you can compare it to anything. ServicePilot sets the rate to 15%, prints your GST number, and charges you in New Zealand dollars.

GST at 15%, not 10%
Set the country to New Zealand and the rate follows. Your GST number goes on the invoice, in the field that is actually called the GST number.
Priced in your own money
NZ$45 per user per month. No conversion, no surprise on the card statement, no working out what it costs you.
Works where the signal does not
The iPhone and Android apps hold the day on the phone. Rural jobs and basements do not stop the crew reading the sizes.

SMS reminders & ETAs
Day-before reminders and “on my way” texts cut no-shows and delight customers.

Built for New Zealand
What is actually different about running a glazing business here
Not much, which is the honest answer. A measure-up is a measure-up on either side of the Tasman. The differences are administrative, and they are the ones that make software from somewhere else quietly annoying to use every single day.
There are four of them, and they are all small until you are the one entering them by hand.
- The rate is 15%, not 10%
A default that is wrong by five points is not a rounding error, it is every invoice you send. - The number is a GST number
A tax invoice here carries your GST number, which is your IRD number. Not an ABN, and not the NZBN either. - The money is New Zealand dollars
Being quoted in another currency means doing arithmetic before you can compare anything, and being surprised by the card statement afterwards. - Coverage is patchy outside the cities
An app that needs a connection is an app that fails in a basement in Grey Lynn and on a lifestyle block outside Cambridge.
More for glaziers
New Zealand glaziers - questions
Does it handle 15% GST?+
Yes. Set the country to New Zealand in Settings and the default rate becomes 15%. Anything you have already raised keeps the rate it was raised with.
Will my GST number appear on the invoice?+
Yes. In New Zealand the field is called the GST number, because that is the number a tax invoice has to carry. It prints on quotes, invoices and the customer-facing pages.
What about the NZBN?+
The NZBN is a different identifier and it is not what belongs on a tax invoice, so the invoice carries your GST number. Tell us if you need the NZBN somewhere and we will look at it.
What does it cost in New Zealand dollars?+
NZ$45 per user per month. Extra crew seats are NZ$29. You are billed in New Zealand dollars, not converted from another currency.
Does it work with Xero?+
Yes. Invoices and payments sync across, which matters more here than most places given where Xero comes from.
Can I take a card payment on site?+
Yes, on an iPhone or an Android phone, with no terminal and no card reader.
Is my data held in Australia?+
Yes, in Sydney. Tell us if that is a problem for a particular contract and we will talk it through.
